Oke, so you're all going to be horridly jealous, but...
Not-so Tentative Plan Number 1.
-Meet the Phelps twins. Yesh, those Weasley twins from the Harry Potter series are in town this weekend. AND GUESS WHO HAS PROOF?!
A friend of the family bought Elizabeth (the dearling in green) and I tickets to HP5 at 5:30 tonight (6:30 for y'all). We ended up arriving at the theatre around 3:30 or so, with "plenty of time" to waste. In line.
It took us a whole hour, but we were finally able to meet them. Yesh, Oliver and James Phelps. The two most awesome people in history. Okay, well, maybe not, but the two most awesome famous people I've ever met. Waitaminute, that's not right either. ANYWAY.
So about ten minutes before meeting them, I realize which is which (can you tell?) from the line, and we wait, and joke, and talk like the two narcissistic/obsessive teenagers we are.
We get up there to see that the boys are signing the people's books from in front of us, so the kind lady gets us to walk behind them and wait. Oliver gets up and shakes our hands, asks us what we've been up to, that sort of thing. We tell him we'd been at the barn working with Jolie and Gem (Elle's and Sue's horses, respectively), etc. He excuses himself to sign MORE autographs while James gets up and continues the conversation. We eventually get around to the fact that I'm from Atlanta, and then on to sports (of course, they're guys. DUH). Oliver gets back up and says their first Baseball game was that of the Braves (Wo0t!), and then they ask about the Cubs/Sox rivalries in the city. At that time, I gracefully bow out and let Elle take over the conversation (Braves all the way, kinchin-bai).
This conversation takes about 10 minutes. Now, you've got to realize one small detail: everyone in front of us took only about a minute and a half of their time per family/group/etc. ^.^
And, to top it all off, they hugged us!!!! -fangirl squeal- (*coughobsessedmuchcough*)
So yeah. That was my evening. The most amazing night of my life thus far. And now, I must run off and find their email addresses. ^.^ Bwah.
